The following information is directed toward technicians or personnel, who are involved in the assembly or installation of Harmonic Drive Gearing.
1) Do not hammer on the output shaft or any other area of the actuator. The vibration will shatter the optical encoder disk. 2) Damage to the encoder will result if an improper voltage or polarity is applied to the encoder, or applied to the incorrect encoder leads. 3) The output shaft of this unit has been coated with a rust preventative wax for storage purposes, and must be thoroughly cleaned with ethyl or methyl alcohol prior to use.
