Manufacturing Engineer - Process Planning
Summary/Objective
The Manufacturing Engineer plays a key role in shaping our manufacturing processes, driving efficiency, enhancing product quality, and contributing to our overall success in the manufacture of high precision products. Their knowledge and problem-solving skills are instrumental to optimizing our production and ensuring that we meet our production targets. This role interacts with employees from all departments to ensure the highest possible quality, maximize schedule attainment, and improve product flow.
Essential Functions
- Reviews product designs for manufacturability, proper tolerances, quality requirements, and cost drivers.
- Defines the manufacturing process required to produce components and assemblies.
- Determines fixture and gage requirements for new components and designs or procures necessary items.
- Creates manufacturing process routes and bills of material in ERP system.
- Reviews Engineering Change Orders and updates process documentation as necessary.
- Collaborates with other manufacturing engineers, design engineers, quality control personnel, supervisors and machine operators to maximize shop-floor productivity and product quality.
- Participates in root-cause analysis and corrective action of quality discrepancies.
Competencies
- Experience with CNC machining, knowledge of work holding and machining principles.
- Working knowledge of general machine shop and measuring practices.
- CAD / solid modeling experience and familiarity with drawing / design / dimensioning standards.
- ERP / MRP software experience.
- Good general computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work creatively and responsibly with minimal supervision.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.

Sr. Metrology Quality Technician
Summary/Objective
- Create, validate, troubleshoot CMM programs, and perform precision inspections, including FAIs (First Article Inspections), to ensure product conforms to all applicable requirements.
- Supports Engineering New Product Development and Investigations in Metrology, through sample measurements and feedback, early on involvement in drawing and GD&T reviews, and early measurement capability evaluations.
Essential Functions
- Applies advanced knowledge of GD&T and Metrology principles to program CMM’s/vision systems to ensure products meet specifications and drawings.
- Resolve issues and answer questions from Operators as well as from Inspectors and Engineers.
- Train other inspectors and technicians.
- Work with Quality Engineering to ensure that all set-ups and programs are accurate.
- Participate or lead special projects related to tooling fixtures and gages.
- Identifies and drives cost reduction projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing principle.
- Works closely with the team to determine efficiency improvements.
- Create CMM programs using part drawings or models and perform inspections as required.
- Troubleshoot and/or amend existing CMM programs.
- Perform validation and verification of programs (CMM, vision systems, etc.)
- Take critical measurements using gauges, fixtures and other measurement tools.
- Provide inspection support to all departments in the organization, perform part inspection and FAIs.
- Perform other responsibilities as required.
Competencies
- Has advanced knowledge on all metrology programs and strong working knowledge of GD&T (read and interpret).
- Experience in a manufacturing environment and mechanical inspection of precision part.
- Solid experience with inspection equipment and tools

Sr. Mechatronics Technician
Summary/Objective
The Senior Mechatronics Technician will provide technical assistance and support by testing, servicing, troubleshooting, and addressing technical inquiries. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, and Manufacturing team members to troubleshoot and repair Harmonic Drive actuators. The senior mechatronics technician is responsible for driving customer satisfaction through service excellence.
Essential Functions
- Work hands-on with a wide variety of assembly and test equipment and processes with a focus on electro-mechanical assembly and functional test
- Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective action of functional discrepancies
- Review customer field data to determine trends
- Diagnose, disassemble, repair and re-assemble electromechanical components/assemblies for return to customer
- Configure hardware and software components after installation
- Communicate real time data to Assembly Operations and Engineering to ensure process and design enhancements are implemented to improve yield in the field
- Provide assistance to customers upgrading equipment at various field locations
- Document field installation and repairs
- Maintain all tools and equipment used during service calls and in local lab
- Manage administrative responsibilities such as ordering repair parts, lab and office consumables
- Educate and train customers on proper use of equipment
Competencies
- Proficient with servo drives, digital encoders and electric motors.
- Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process
- Soldering per IPC-610, wiring, crimping, and using hand and power tools.
- Strong ability to use common diagnostic equipment including an oscilloscope, DMM, power supply, etc.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Proficient with Phython programing is a plus
- Demonstrated strong analytical thinking, capacity to evaluate and interpret data, test results, and system performance to make informed decisions
- Experience with issue tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence is a plus
- Proficient with data visualization tools to create comprehensive reports for technical/non-technical audiences
- Ability to work creatively and responsibly with minimal supervision
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP, etc.)
