Summary/Objective

The Software Developer II will plan, design and develop software programs for internal employees as well as assist with corporate website design and functionality.  The role will also include DevOps tasks that are completed with Docker and Kubernetes. Production Manager

Summary/Objective

The Production Manager is the leader of our manufacturing floor efforts. As a member of the operations team, the production manager will develop the necessary functionality within the manufacturing department to review, determine the feasibility of, and meet the production schedule. To do so, the production manager will allocate, review the performance of, and develop resources, both human and material. Additionally, they will measure the performance of the various manufacturing processes and develop models and methods that will be used to achieve improved performance against those measures, as well as any of the company’s strategic goals. Mechanical Design Engineer - Mechatronics Group

Summary/Objective

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer – Mechatronics must possess a strong understanding of power transmission products and associated components such as gears, motors, encoders and servo drives.  A proficiency in CAD design and detailing using SolidWorks is required. Upon successful completion of training:

  • Set up and operate various automated cells comprised of CNC machining equipment, robots, measuring equipment, and peripheral devices.
  • Coordinate activities with other technicians, manufacturing engineers, and machine operators to maximize machine run hours.
  • Perform troubleshooting activities to diagnose and correct machinery and process problems.

This individual will work with employees from all departments to ensure the highest possible quality, maximize schedule attainment, and improve product flow.

Essential Functions

  • Reviews product designs for manufacturability including tolerances, quality requirements, cost and other issues affecting manufacturability.
  • Prepares manufacturing sketches, machine shop setup sheets, CNC programs, and tooling designs.
  • Programs CNC machines, resolves start-up problems, and optimizes feeds and speeds to achieve minimum run time consistent with acceptable quality and adequate tool life.
  • Performs shop-floor troubleshooting activities to diagnose and correct machinery and process problems identified by machine shop personnel and manufacturing engineering staff.
  • Works hands-on with a wide variety of CNC lathes, machining centers, and other machines / equipment.
  • Collaborates with other manufacturing engineers, design engineers, quality control personnel, supervisors and machine operators to maximize shop-floor productivity and product quality.

Reporting to the President, the successful Director of Quality will be responsible for establishing, implementing, directing, and continually improving Harmonic Drive’s quality management systems. This is a full-time hourly position which operates Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm.

Travel

Travel is not required for this role.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical or vocational school background is helpful.
  • 3+ Years in a Manufacturing environment.
