The Best Grease for Metal Gears
We have specifically formulated Harmonic Grease® lubrication for use with our wide range of gearheads, component sets and phase adjusters. Here are the four sizes you can purchase:

Each of our grease varieties has unique properties, and you must choose the option that best suits your gear model, size and application. Selecting the right grease prolongs the gear's life and maintains its performance.

SK-1AThis gear grease provides exceptional durability and efficiency. It is ideal for Harmonic Drive® gears size 20 and larger and operates in temperatures ranging from 0°C to +40°C. SK-1A is available in our cartridge and container sizes. |

SK-2SK-2 delivers excellent smoothness, durability and efficiency. Use it in the temperature range of 0°C to +40°C with Harmonic Drive gears size 17 and smaller. SK-2 comes in four sizes.

SK-3Like SK-1A and SK-2, you can use SK-3 within the same temperature ranges. The grease comes in four sizes and suits gears size 20 and larger. |

4B No.2Harmonic grease 4B No.2 is ideal for exceptionally long life and operation in a wide range of temperatures from -10°C to +70°C. It is available in .5 Kg, 2 Kg, and 16 Kg containers and a 14 fl. oz cartridge. |

HFL-1HFL-1 is a food-grade grease for our gears. It provides 10% to 15% increased efficiency compared to conventional food-grade greases. It's NSF H1 certified for use in food processing machines. HFL-1 delivers the same efficiency as our SK-1A grease. You can get it in 80 g and 400 g bellows bottles and 1 Kg and 2.5 Kg containers.

How to Store Grease for Gears
Storing gear grease correctly preserves its quality for optimal performance. We recommend observing these best storage practices:
- Examining the grease container for damage before storage
- Closing the container tightly after use to prevent contamination with dust or moisture
- Avoiding direct exposure to sunlight or heat sources such as furnaces and steam pipes
- Keeping them at room temperature
- Following a first-in-first-out system
- Maintaining the grease in its original packaging
- Placing cartridge tubes in an upright position
- Depressurizing the grease gun if you leave the cartridge tube attached
- Inspecting grease that has been in storage for a long time
- Teaching employees proper storage
When handling the gear grease, use clean tools to dispense the product and wipe off any drips before storage. Also, avoid warming a grease container with an open flame.
